Gene Reineking draws his inspiration from his surroundings in the glacial moraine country of central Wisconsin. His subject matter is a direct link to the wildlife that can be found in the woodlands and lakes near his studio. Carving out of wood burl, Gene is able to capture the essence of an animal while preserving the beauty of the natural materials he uses in his sculptures. The work carries with it the drama and beauty of the natural world. |
